Who Am I?
To minister effectively, we must have confidence in two things:
(1) Confidence in our Lord and (2) confidence in who He made us to be
Psalms 139:14 “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”
Why are comparisons unwise? When we compare ourselves to others, we are being self-centered.
2 Corinthians 10:12 “For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.”
Philippians 2:4 “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”
Romans 12:3 “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”
Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Ephesians 1:6 “To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.”
